How do you get loyal and willing donors to contribute money again?
One of the best ways is to enroll them (or re-enroll them) in your cause.
Recently my friend Sister Mary Beth Lloyd, from the Religious Teachers Filippini of Rome (yes, Rome, Italy - closely connected to the Vatican), asked me for some help on a fundraising letter.
(That's her colleague, Sister Antonio, with people from Eritrea in the photo above.)
I've posted the before and after versions online. I'm inviting you to post comments below and what you've noticed I've done to improve the letter - both word-wise, and graphically.
Hint: I didn't do much, but everything I did will count for a lot in the amount of money they raise.
It's a pretty interesting story that Daniel Fisher, the original writer of the letter, has to tell.
